Spring Yoga Weekend in Glastonbury – May 2020
From Thursday 28th to Sunday 31st of May 2020
Relax, unwind, recharge and explore… Andrew’s popular Yoga retreat in Glastonbury is back in the Spring for another wonderful weekend – book quickly as spaces are limited.
Glastonbury, King Arthur’s ancient isle of Avalon, has been a centre of pilgrimage for a wide range of people of different faiths and spirituality since ancient times.
Glastonbury Tor rises dramatically from the mystical landscape of the Somerset levels. Nestled just beneath the Tor, and within easy walking distance from the town is Shekinah Yoga Retreat, the special location for our weekend retreat. The retreat offers the perfect opportunity to wind down, relax and practice yoga in a spiritual surrounding. The teyreat offers Bhakti yoga sessions like Friday evening Kirtan chanting and early morning fire ceremonies, which are optional and free for you to join.
About Andrew Wrenn:
Andrew began his Yoga journey as an asthmatic more than 20 years ago, and a regular practice of pranayama (breath work) over the years has helped him to fully overcome his condition. Embracing a daily Asana (posture) and Pranayama practice he found a perfect combination for strength, flexibility and wellbeing. He also found that his practice enhanced a balanced and focused mind and an inner depth that he explores everyday in his Meditation.
He is a British Wheel of Yoga trained teacher with influences from different backgrounds, having practised with many yogis and yoginis in different styles over the years. He joins his beloved teacher Clive on his annual 3 week retreat in the jungle, where he challenges his fear of aquatic creatures swimming in a reservoir populated by crocodiles! You can find him teaching at his studio Pure Yoga Cheshire in Macclesfield, UK , leading yoga retreats and workshops in the UK and abroad, and also teaching online at Ekhart Yoga. You can learn more about Andrew on his website www.yogawithandrew.co.uk
