Happy 4th Birthday Pure Yoga! Sun Salutations and Yin Yoga for Teenage Cancer Trust

Celebrate International Yoga Day and our 4th Birthday with a morning of Yoga!

Did you know that in the UK alone there are 7 young people diagnosed with cancer every day? Teenage Cancer Trust gives young people the special care they need to help them go through a challenging time in their lives.

We will begin the practice with 108 Sun Salutations balancing it with some grounding Yin Yoga to finish.One hour and half of grounding and energizing Sunday morning experience, followed by tea and biscuits – and maybe even birthday cake! Everybody can practice at their own pace, this is an event suitable for all.

TEENAGE CANCER TRUST- What we do:

Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for the seven young people aged between 13 and 24 diagnosed with cancer every day.

We have a unique partnership with the NHS, working together to embed our vital services within theirs, complementing and significantly extending the care and support young people with cancer
receive.

We build specialist units within NHS hospitals bringing young people together to be treated by teenage cancer experts in a place designed just for them.

Traditionally treated alongside children or elderly patients at the end of their lives, young people can feel extremely isolated during treatment, some never meeting another young person with cancer. Being treated alongside others their own age can make a huge difference.

Our pioneering Education team deliver positive and interactive free cancer awareness sessions in schools, colleges and universities across the UK on the signs of cancer, cancer treatments as well as encouraging healthy living.

For every young person we support, there is another we can’t currently reach. That’s why we’ve launched a new Nursing & Support Service, broadening our partnership with the NHS and providing nursing outreach to young patients who aren’t able to have treatment within our units. This service will bring us much closer to our goal of supporting every young person with cancer in this country.
