Movement, Mandala and Meditation with Andrew Wrenn
Sunday 29th of November 2015 – 17.30 to 19.30
A mandala is ritualistic geometric design symbolic of the universe, used in Yoga, Hinduism and Buddhism as an aid to Meditation.
This creative and expressive workshop begins for the first hour with simple breath coordinated bodywork and free expression of movement through yoga postures to stimulate your creative, intuitive and meditative states of mind.
The second part of the workshop will allow your creativity to flow as you draw your own mandala. Your mandala can take the form of whatever arises from within. You don’t need to be artistic, it is your own unique expression and it will flow trough as you let go of your “thinking” mind.
After completing the mandala using crayons and coloured pencils (all supplied for the workshop), we will pin them to the wall and use them for the final meditation. This is a special experience, suitable for all. The Mandala can be a visual representation of your thoughts, feelings, and emotions which when meditated upon will help you get closer to your true nature.
*All artistic materials will be supplied*
