SUMMARY:Gong Bath Meditation
DESCRIPTION:UPCOMING DATES: \nFebruary 6th\, March 6th\, April 3rd\, May 8th\, June 5th\, July 3rd\, August 7th – more dates for the rest of the year coming up soon. \nThis beautiful monthly healing event is often full so we ask you to book in advance from our timetable and arrive a few minutes before 5.30 pm to settle as we will start on time. \n\n \n\n \n\n\n\nGong Bath Meditation is a practice that aids healing by synchronizing our brain and restoring balance & harmony in our human system. Book via our “Book Now” page. Cost £15  non refundable and non transferable. More information about the Gong Bath: \n\n\n\n Water is not involved in a Gong Bath Meditation. \n\n\n\nInstead\, you are bathed in the sounds and vibrations of gongs\, & crystal bowls. It is a sound bath that creates profound relaxation. \n\n\n\nGong Bath Meditations alter brain wave patterns from the Beta (waking state) to Theta & Delta (meditative) states. Science teaches that meditative brain frequencies enable us to access our deeper subconscious and superconscious\, which are key states for healing. \n\n\n\nSound healing is not a new fad. The gong is one of the oldest musical instruments in the world. Based on ancient wisdom\, gongs vibrate at the same frequency as the body allowing the body to heal itself. \n\n\n\nThese ideas might sound kind of “woo-woo”\, but Sound Energy Healing is a physical phenomenon based on universal physical and biological principles called Sonic entrainment\, where rhythmic vibrations of similar frequencies resonate in unison. \n\n\n\nThe universal principles of sound mean you do not have to believe in Sound Energy Healing or understand it\, to benefit from sessions. However\, you might be like many people\, and want to know what proof exists for energy healing. \n\n\n\nOkay\, here comes a little Science lesson: The sounds during a gong bath can be used to rebalance our human system. There is a profound effect on our cardiovascular\, autonomic\, endocrine and immune systems. It is an excellent therapy for stress-related issues\, such as depression and anxiety. \n\n\n\nWhat to expect in a group Gong Bath session: \n\n\n\nIdeally you will experience the gong bath lying comfortably on your back. You will need to bring along a blanket and a pillow. \n\n\n\nAll you have to do is lie comfortably and close your eyes and relax. I then begin by playing the gongs very softly\, increasing the volume as the session progresses (the volume never gets unbearable as I am playing therapeutically). I change the playing technique frequently so there is no fixed rhythm which results in the brain not being able to follow and entrainment takes place. Entrainment is the changing of brainwave frequencies. \n\n\n\nAfter a continuous 40 minutes of gong playing\, I start to wind down and play very gently for five minutes fading away to nothing. I then spend a little time talking you back to awareness. \n\n\n\nThe gong is an amazing and powerful instrument for healing work; I recommend that you take it easy for the rest of the day to allow the treatment to continue to do its work. I also advise that you drink plenty of water. \n\n\n\nSetting the intention or creative visualisation Difference between stress and relaxation short set of exercises to help you relax ready Sound bath with gongs Gentle return to full awareness \n\n\n\nOut of respect to all participants and due to the sensitive nature of the work\, DOORS CLOSE once a sessions has started there will be no admission: \n\n If you would like to reserve a place\, please purchase your ticket early. Gong bath sessions are very popular. We would like to fit everybody in but tickets will be limited to space so we ensure that everybody has enough space to be comfortable and also so that everybody can be looked after. \n\n A few things to bring with you: \n\n\n\n• A yoga mat to lie on\, a pillow for your head and a blanket as some people might get a bit chilly during the session (we do provide them but feel free to bring your own cosy blanket). We try and make the room as warm as possible for you\, but if you feel the cold please make sure you wear plenty of layers and thick socks. \n\n\n\n• Please try to be on time so we hope you can be there for the whole session and share this experience together. \n\n\n\n• Please bring with you….your honesty\, your compassion\, your courage and your fears\, your dreams and your doubts\, your joy and your tears\, your sense of humour\, your voice if you want\, and your unique self. \n\n\n\nBank transfer welcome! \n\n Bank details: \n\n Pure Yoga Cheshire – Co-operative Bank\, Sort Code 089299 – Account number 69775596

From Ayurvedic perspective we start to accumulate seasonal imbalances towards the end of season\, so dampness and cold winter days can lead to accumulation of mucus\, feeling of heaviness\, lethargy and even depression\, all due to increasing presence of the Earth and Water elements.\nThis workshop is an invitation to take a few hours just for yourself to deeply ground and reconnect\, taking good care of the holy temple of the soul that is your unique and beautiful body. \nWe will start with a gentle restorative yoga sequence to settle the nervous system down\, assist the lymphatic flow and connect to the body and breath. \nAfter a short break with the offering of season-oriented herbal tea and snacks\, you will be guided trough self-administered skincare ritual using the product that have been specifically created for the season\, based on aromatherapeutic and Ayurvedic principles. \nPlease wear something loose that you don’t mind getting oily. \nExpect to leave feeling glowing\, nourished\, grounded\, rejuvenated and held. \n£35 – book via our Book Now page. \nDue to the nature of this interactive workshop\, we have a very limited amount of spaces. Tickets are non refundable and non transferable.

SUMMARY:Candle lit Yin Yoga and Gong Bath
DESCRIPTION:Retune\, recharge\, relax and reconnect with Francesca and Jane… \nSaturday 18th of December – from 5.30 to 7 pm – £25 \nRecharge and replenish your Self with healing vibrations and deep grounding and nourishing yoga postures. \nYou will be guided through gentle and deep postures which will unlock deep tensions held within the physical\, mental and spiritual body. You can also be supported by props like yoga bolsters\, blankets\, blocks while receiving the healing effects of sound through planetary gongs. \nA gong bath is a form of sound therapy where the gong is played in a therapeutic way to bring about healing in the body. It is a very effective way of stimulating the natural good feeling of the body and most often leaves the recipient grounded with an indisputable sense of well-being.\nThe experience is often likened to ‘being massaged all over’ by those who are sensitive as they feel their skin tingle and deeper sensations as the waves of sound vibrate through the body and trigger a tangible release of tensions. Often during a gong bath\, a deep sense of neutrality is felt and nerve rejuvenation is achieved. \nThe practice of Yin yoga will calm your body and mind and help you receive fully the benefits of the final 30 minutes sound bath\, leading to experience feelings of peace and calm. All levels are welcome\, this is a gentle and quite deep yoga practice. \nOur beautiful room at Pure Yoga will be candle lit… the small flames will give a warm glow to the space and will add to the special calming quality of this exceptional experience. \nWe do supply mats and some blankets\, but please bring anything you might want to have to make your experience even more relaxing\, like an extra blanket and a pillow. \nPlease book via our book now page https://pureyogacheshire.co.uk/timetable/ you can book your spot and pay bank transfer: Pure Yoga Cheshire – Sort Code 089299 – Account number 69775596 \nMore information: info@pureyogacheshire.co.uk – phone 07909144414

DESCRIPTION:Delighted to host talented Yuliya Higham Yoga + YHApothecary again this Winter. \nSunday 5th December from 2 to 4.30 pm – bookings via our Book Now page \nThe run up to Christmas is a very hectic time – preparing gifts\, meals out\, family and friends’ get togethers- all beautiful\, but also taking an incredible toll on the nervous system\, stressing it out and pushing it out of wack. Traditionally though the time around Winter Solstice has been the time to go inward\, slow right down and set up body for the long winter hibernation to restore\, rest and recharge befor the fertile season ahead. This workshop is an invitation to take a few hours our of your busy schedule and truly dedicate this time to nourish and nurture your nature\, refill your own vessel\, as from the empty cup you cannot give. \nWe will start the workshop with a gentle Joint Roll followed by a yin style yoga sequence to warm up the body\, reawaken the spirit and get the creative juices flowing freely. We will then discuss how to create a sacred space\, untouchable island within your own home\, for you to come back to when things become too hectic\, festive season or not. \nWe will then take a short break to sip some restorative herbal tea and snack on season-appropriate treats. \nThe last hour of the workshop will be dedicated to self-massage techniques\, concentrating on face and upper body\, using a special grounding blend I have created for the season. Please wear something loose that you don’t mind getting oily. \nAs a yoga teacher and a skincare specialist I believe that radiance doesn’t come in a pot. However a combination of mindful breath and movement\, clean diet and natural beauty products can work wonders\, helping us look and feel great. \nI started making my own skincare products many years ago because I wanted to make sure that everything I apply externally would literally be good enough to eat\, organic when possible\, all natural\, with minimal to no preservatives at all\, using glass containers to reduce plastic waste. All formulations lean into the Ayurvedic principles of addressing seasonality and doshas\, using essential oils to make products that work not only for the skin\, but also the nervous system. You can visit https://www.facebook.com/YHApothecary to find out more about the range. \nThe workshop is open to all genders\, but might not be suitable for those with extremely sensitive skin or allergies due to essential oils. \nExpect to leave feeling glowing\, nourished\, grounded\, rejuvenated and held. \n£35 \nBook Now here

SUMMARY:Gong Bath Meditation
DESCRIPTION:More dates coming from January 2022 \nThis beautiful healing event is often full so we ask you to book in advance here: https://pureyogacheshire.co.uk/timetable/ and arrive a few minutes before 5.30 pm to settle as we will start on time. \n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n\nGong Bath Meditation is a practice that aids healing by synchronizing our brain and restoring balance & harmony in our human system. \nBook via our “Book Now” page. Cost £15  non refundable and non transferable. \nMore information about the Gong Bath: \n\n\n\n Water is not involved in a Gong Bath Meditation. \n\n\n\nOkay\, here comes a little Science lesson: \nThe sounds during a gong bath can be used to rebalance our human system. \n\n\n\nSetting the intention or creative visualisation Difference between stress and relaxation short set of exercises to help you relax ready Sound bath with gongs Gentle return to full awareness \n\n\n\nOut of respect to all participants and due to the sensitive nature of the work\, DOORS CLOSE once a sessions has started there will be no admission: \n\n\n \nIf you would like to reserve a place\, please purchase your ticket early. Gong bath sessions are very popular. We would like to fit everybody in but tickets will be limited to space so we ensure that everybody has enough space to be comfortable and also so that everybody can be looked after. \n\n\n \nA few things to bring with you: \n\n\n\n• A yoga mat to lie on\, a pillow for your head and a blanket as some people might get a bit chilly during the session (we do provide them but feel free to bring your own cosy blanket). \n\n\n \nBank details: \n\n\n \nPure Yoga Cheshire – Co-operative Bank\, Sort Code 089299 – Account number 69775596

SUMMARY:Late Summer Tuscany Yoga Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to our fourth retreat in beautiful Tuscany\, this year extended to 9 days by popular demand. \nGo deeper into your practice\, rejuvenate\, relax and connect with nature… \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSurrounded by a Mediterranean forest\, Casale Pundarika is the special location for our late summer retreat. A typical Tuscan country house ideally set in a magical place 2km from the village of Riparbella on the Maritime Hills a few km from the Tyrrhenian coast. A mixed landscape of woods\, olive groves\, vineyards and a skilfully-worked countryside reflect the agricultural origins of the town. \n\n\n\nThe house offers comfortable shared accommodation\, ample practice rooms and the possibility to practice yoga outside on the gorgeous terrace\, from which the rising sun can be contemplated during our morning practices. \n\n\n\nDuring this retreat we will be practicing mostly outside on the newly built decking which is ideally located under a canopy of native trees\, a beautiful setting for this magical time of the year. Last year some people choose to spend the night on the decking as part of their practice – feeling at one with Nature and contemplating the beauty of the magical land (this is optional). \n\n\n\nAs part of the retreat process we ask to respect each other’s space and sanctity by limiting the use of electronic devices\, and honoring the daily periods of silence. Mornings will be silent until 12 o’clock\, and there will be one full day of silence where we will ask you to switch off your mobile phone. We understand this might be a unique occurrence in this day and age\, but there will be a 24 hour contactable phone number for the retreat centre in case of emergency. \n\n\n\nThe programme offers: \n\n\n\n\nMeditation and Pranayama early morning (one hour approx)\nYoga asana (postures) mid-morning (one and half hour)\nAfternoon practice – Question and Answers followed by Yoga postures and Pranayama (one and half hour)\nLate evening gatherings on some days.\n\n\n\n\nThere will be time for quietly enjoying contemplation and personal time. We will observe silence each morning until lunch time\, as well as a full day of silence as part of our practice. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMore details on cost and accommodation: \n\n\n\nAccommodation: €540 for apartment sharing\, €675 for double/twin sharing\, € 1080 for single use occupancy (figures are in € currency). Please note this has to be paid to Casale Pundarika directly – bank details available. This includes accommodation\, all delicious and locally sourced vegetarian meals (breakfast\, lunch and supper) and the use of the heated outdoor bath tub. \n\n\n\nYoga tutoring: £ 425 for the 9 days – 3 to 5 yoga sessions per day with one afternoon free. Deposit required to secure your spot – £150 non returnable. \n\n\n\nThe nearer airport is Pisa – flights from Manchester and other major UK airport are excellent and can be booked well in advance.  Transport from and to the airport can be arranged. \n\n\n\nNumbers are strictly limited\, so bookings are confirmed with a (non returnable) deposit of £150 with the balance to be paid by 1 st of September 2020. He also found that his practice enhanced a balanced and focused mind and an inner depth that he explores everyday in his Meditation. \n\n\n\nHe is a British Wheel of Yoga trained teacher with influences from different backgrounds\, having practised with many yogis and yoginis in different styles over the years. He joins his beloved teacher Clive on his annual 3 week retreat in the jungle\, where he challenges his fear of aquatic creatures swimming in a reservoir populated by crocodiles! You can find him teaching at his studio Pure Yoga Cheshire in Macclesfield\, UK \, leading yoga retreats and workshops in the UK and abroad\, and also teaching online at Ekhart Yoga.
