My name is Rae, I am a 29 year old Hatha and Vinyasa flow yogi from Chester, living in the beautiful diverse city of Liverpool. I have been teaching for three years, running my own classes, working for various studios and holding 1-2-1 sessions. My journey started when I was a child, watching my mum at 6am practice yoga in the living room. From there I dipped in and out of yoga, never really sticking at it, until I reached 16 years of age and developed insomnia. My Mum decided to take me back to a local gym where we would attend the Hatha yoga class, and for the first time in a while, I was able to fall asleep on the mat and in love with yoga all at the same time. I then practised continuously until I was 25, where I then went out to Costa Rica to train in the Yoga Alliance 200hour teacher training programme in Hatha and Vinyasa Flow.

I am currently in my second year of study on the adult nursing degree at Liverpool John Moores and now more than ever my practice is so important to me to keep me grounded. My goal is to be able to help people holistically, a collaboration of medicine and yoga, there is something so powerful about connecting the breath with movement and resting in stillness. I believe that yoga is for anyBody, yoga is there for you, whatever you receive from the practice, soul lifting, flexibility improving and strength building, let it be. I’m looking forward to sharing the practice with you, mind, body, and soul.
