Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th of October 2015.
After many requests, we are delighted to announce Andrew’s weekend retreat for the Autumn – don’t miss the opportunity to practice yoga in one of the most spiritual places of the UK, set in the grounds of the oldest Buddhist Monastery in Europe.
Looking out over the River Esk in the peaceful hills of the Scottish borders, ‘Purelands’ at Samye Ling is an ideal setting to inspire, exhilarate and offer time for reflection in our busy lives. The retreat will offer asana, pranayama, meditation and mantra. There will be time and opportunity to walk around the meditation garden, venture up the fairy hill or talk a stroll along the river bank, maybe catching a glimpse of the otters in the unspoiled natural surroundings. Experience serenity, calm and restoration with yoga practices that will leave you refreshed and energized.
Friends are also welcome to observe or participate in the meditations and puja performed in the very colorful traditional Tibetan Buddhist temple.
All accommodation is in basic but comfortable single rooms with three home cooked vegetarian meals a day, drinks available throughout the day.
Price £ 295 which includes all tuition, a single room per person and all meals. Arrival time is flexible, with the first session at 6 pm on the Friday evening. Last session after lunch on the Sunday with the estimated departure time at 4 pm.
Bookings are now being taken, £100 deposit (non refundable) secures place. Deposit can be done via bank transfer, or with check or cash at the studio.
The monastery is about three and half hours drive (from Macclesfield).
Car sharing may be available.
