Join Andrew in this Yoga practice that will introduce you gradually to some of the most feared, exhilarating, challenging and delightful yoga postures. As we approach one the busiest times of the year, take the time to look at the world and your life from a different prospective… upside down!
Inversions like headstand and shoulderstand are some of the most powerful asanas, affecting one physically (traditionally are considered to reverse the aging process), mentally (stimulating intuition and clarity) and spiritually (expanding consciousness leading to enlightenment). Learn how to invert safely with proper alignment and intention!
Handstand (Adho Mukha Vrksasana), headstand (Salamba Sirsasana), forearm stand (Pincha Mayurasana) & shoulder stand (Salamba Sarvangasana) and preparation for these postures will be covered.
A balanced practice with preparations (including shoulders and chest openers) and strengthening work, to calm down at the end with gentle cooling down postures. Finishing with meditation and relaxation.
